Who We Are

Lulu’s Rescue, founded in 2010, is an all-breed, inclusive dog rescue with 501c3 non-profit status.  Our mission is to end the daily killing of thousands of adoptable dogs in the US and to break the cycle of homelessness through spay/neuter outreach, humane education, and rescue efforts. We, along with a dedicated group of volunteers and supporters, bring a vast range of experience and an unwavering commitment to the promotion of compassionate care as an end to animal suffering.

Thank you for supporting our mission of rescue, spay/neuter, and education.

Animals are more than ever a test of our character, of mankind’s capacity for empathy and for decent, honorable conduct and faithful stewardship. We are called to treat them with kindness, not because they have rights, power or a claim to equality, but in a sense, because they don’t. They all stand unequal and powerless before us.
— Matthew Scully, speechwriter to George W. Bush and author of Dominion: The Power of Man, The Suffering of Animals, and The Call to Mercy

Why We Do What We Do

14,000 dogs die a day at our animal control facilities. This is a short documentary that exhibits the challenges facing dogs and the people that support them.
